This post is inspired by a colleague who is going to visit my hometown - Teluk Intan! As he is a vegetarian, I have found several vegetarian restaurant on the Internet.\

Also attach the GPS Coordinates of each place, for your convenience of searching!

Note: Part 1 consists of places to visit and foods to try for non-vegetarian.
Part 2 consists of vegetarian restaurants to visit in the town.





These places are some must-visit places in Teluk Intan!


1. Menara Condong(安顺斜塔)

This is the most famous landmark of the town - Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan!

The tower is slanted leftward, similar to the Tower of Pisa. It's also a Clock Tower which is still functioning well to date. You may enter into the building during day-time, as it is open to public. During night time, you can re-visit the tower to see it in different light colors.


2. Hawaii No.1 Lo Han Kuo

This is where you can find all sorts of desserts, such as ABC, Coco Crunch, ABC Buah, and Assam Laksa. It's situated beside of Anson Hotel, you can see its stall which is a van.


3. Sin Joo Heong confectionery

Sin Joo Heong confectionery (新裕香糕饼厂), or more popularly known as Tiger Head Heong Peah, is a shop that sells and manufactures all kinds of biscuits. Most are halal, and many outstation visitors buy them as souvenirs to their friends and family.

It has 3 other branches in KL (Puchong), Ipoh (Jalan Medan Ipoh Bestari), and Penang (Burma Road).

4. Rojak Ah Chai(啰吔仔)

5. Riverside Playground

Officially named as River Front Teluk Intan, this is a playground where children would like to visit in the evening.


6. Padang Speedy

8. Liew Kee's Chee Cheong Fun(燎记猪肠粉)

Teluk Intan Liew Kee's Chee Cheong Fun (安顺燎记猪肠粉) is a die-die-must-try food when you visit the town. It's non-halal, though. This shop opens daily from 6pm till 7am; yes, it's opened overnight.

9. "58 Stalls" Food Court

Its official name is "Glutton Square", it is more commonly known among the locals as "58 Stalls Food Court", though. Literally, there are a total of 58 stalls selling variety of foods, such as yong tau foo, curry mee, prawn mee, bah kut teh, wan tan mee, economic rice, ice kacang, and etc.

Opens daily, from 7am to 7pm. They sell home-made soya bean and tau fu fah. Ask for no sugar to enjoy less sweet soya!
